Functionele beschrijving
De DDR-SDRAM maakt gebruik van een dubbele gegevenssnelheidsarchitectuur om een hoge snelheid te bereiken.De dubbele gegevenssnelheidsarchitectuur is in wezen een 2n-prefetch-architectuur met een interface die is ontworpen om twee gegevenswoorden per clockcyclus op de I/O-pins over te dragenEen enkele lees- of schrijftoegang voor de DDR-SDRAM bestaat in feite uit een enkele 2n-bit breed, één-clockcyclus dataoverdracht op de interne DRAM-kern en twee overeenkomstige n-bit breed,gegevensoverdracht in een halfuurcyclus op de I/O-pins.
