Algemene beschrijving
De MAX680/MAX681 zijn monolithische, CMOS, dual charge-pump spanningsomvormers die ±10V uitgangen leveren van een +5V-invoerspanning.De MAX680/MAX681 leveren zowel een positieve step-up lading pomp om +10V te ontwikkelen van +5V input en een inverterende lading pomp om de -10V output te genererenDe MAX681 heeft de condensatoren intern in het pakket.en de MAX680 vereist vier externe condensatoren om zowel positieve als negatieve spanningen te produceren van een enkele bron.De impedantie van de uitgangsbron bedraagt typisch 150Ω en zorgt voor nuttige uitgangsstromen tot 10mA.De lage stilstandstroom en het hoge rendement maken dit apparaat geschikt voor een verscheidenheid aan toepassingen die zowel positieve als negatieve spanningen nodig hebben die worden gegenereerd door één enkele voeding.
De MAX864/MAX865 wordt ook aanbevolen voor nieuwe ontwerpen. De MAX864 werkt tot 200 kHz en maakt gebruik van kleinere condensatoren. De MAX865 wordt geleverd in het kleinere μMAX-pakket.

Toepassingen
De MAX680/MAX681 kan worden gebruikt waar een singlepositive stroomvoorziening beschikbaar is en waar positieve en negatieve spanningen nodig zijn.Gewone toepassingen zijn het genereren van ±6V van een 3V-batterij en het genereren van ±10V van de standaard +5V-logische voeding (voor gebruik met analoge schakelingen)Typische toepassingen zijn:±6V van een 3V-lithiumcel
