C8051F326/7-apparaten zijn volledig geïntegreerde mixed-signal system-on-a-chip MCU's. De benodigde kenmerken worden hieronder weergegeven. Zie tabel 1.1 voor specifieke productkenmerken.

• 8051-compatibele microcontrollerkern met hogesnelheidspijpleiding (tot 25 MIPS)

• In-systeem, full-speed, niet-intrusieve debug interface (op chip)
• Universal Serial Bus (USB) functie controller met drie vaste functie eindpunt buizen, geïntegreerde transceiver en 256B FIFO RAM
• Regulator van de voedingsspanning
• Precieze programmeerbare 12 MHz interne oscillator en 4x clock multiplier
• 16kB flashgeheugen op de chip
• 1536 totale bytes RAM op de chip (256 + 1 k + 256 USB FIFO)
• Verbeterde UART, seriële interfaces die in hardware zijn geïmplementeerd
• Twee 16-bits-timers voor algemeen gebruik
• On-chip power-on-reset, VDD-monitor en ontbrekende klokdetector
• 15 poorten I/O (5 V tolerant)
